Project: Create a magazine with the goal of educating on the design profession. Include a cover, table of contents, department page, feature jump double page spread, and feature double page spread.
Ideation
I created case studies for designers ranging from students to senior designers. As this magazine was created during the COVID pandemic, each of my case studies leaned toward designer's reactions to the radical new way of life during the pandemic. With this being said, I decided to make this edition of the magazine into the quarantine issue. I wanted to touch on topics such as staying inspired while working from home and networking during a quarantine.
As the topics I was interested were situational and based on the climate of the times, I decided this magazine was going to report on current news within the design world.
I decided on the magazine name: Delve into Design. I appreciated the alliteration and how it tied into the theme of reporting design news.

I completed an audit on what other publications were saying about designing in
the new COVID climate. I researched topics such as impacts on creativity while in quarantine, impacts on the art world (museums, budgets, firms), and various resources for artists. I decided on basing my articles on the following subjects:

Cover Prototype
I decided to move forward with the 'working in the bathtub' concept. I thought this leisurely self-care scene pushed a much needed feeling of serenity and peace as the quarantine was just beginning.
